Welcome to Etowah UMC Children and Family Ministries.
Our goal is to offer ways for your child to experience the love of Jesus and explore their faith in creative ways, while also supporting you as a parent to grow as a Christian and as a parent. Below you will find ongoing ministries for children at EUMC.
Due to Covid-19, most of our Children's Ministry programs are on pause. Stay tuned for new children's ministry opportunities coming soon for both Zoom and In-person!

Our children's Sunday School class is from 8:45-9:45. We explore stories from scripture and how they apply to children's lives. Expect the stories to come alive through object lessons, music, interactive games, and crafts. We also have an adult Sunday School small group class during this time to discuss life and faith.
Sunday mornings at the 9:45 a.m. service following the Children's Message, kids are invited to attend Children's Church to learn about worship, liturgy, communion, prayer, and scripture. Children will go back to room 14. During Children's Church, we will come back into the sanctuary for Communion and return to room 14.
Sunday mornings at the 9:45 a.m. service following the Passing of the Peace, children ages 2 to grade 5 are invited forward for a children's message that ties into the scripture or theme of the service.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
During the summer for four days (Sunday-Wednesday), children ages 3 to 5th grade are invited to join Etowah UMC for two and a half hours from 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Events and Activities: throughout the year, EUMC offers ways for your family to connect with Jesus together through events and take-home teachable resources, especially during Lent and Advent.
Children's Worship Bags: at all Sunday morning worship services, we have children's bags available for kids to take to their seats. Inside each bag are books, activity and drawing pages, and crayons for your child to use during worship.
Child and Youth safety is important to us. View our Safe Sanctuary Policy.
